I am looking for a clever punny line or two related to my partner's newfound love of fountain pens, penmanship, and handwriting, to write in a Valentine's day card. I am coming up blank so far.

You can also sidestep this by buying a pack of kids Valentines, fill out several dozen with non sequitur terrible puns, and then plant them all over the house places where your partner will find them.

And then at the end of the day when they're like ffs how many of these did you do are you ok you can slap your forehead and be like "oh my god I just realized...you said you like PENS, I thought you said PUNS!"

Depending on equipment and taste for sauciness, allusions to nibs dipping into the inkwell might be appropriate.

If they have a nice bottom they can be callipygian as well as calligraphic.
