Matthildur.com -- Legit?

Instagram showed me an ad for Matthildur.com and there's a skirt I'd like to order, but it's just expensive enough for me to want to be sure it's not a scam. Have you ever ordered from them? Legit or not?

I've checked Trustpilot, which I do for any website I'm considering purchasing from based on an ad on social media, but there's no entry for it there. If you don't know the brand/site,do you know of any other sites I could check for this purpose?

Thanks!

Best answer: I did the things I always do: The domain was registered in 2014. I also see things from that brand on ThreadUp/Poshmark/etc. as well as for sale from some other retailers. I also think that the site has full photos of the models wearing the clothes is also a good sign, as are the prices. Nothing I see indicates it's a scam, personally.

Best answer: I use Fakespot rather than Trustpilot, and this is a Fakespot approved seller. Thumbs up!

Best answer: Another thing you can do is search the photos with Google lens. It's a good way to see if the products are likely to be drop shipped or otherwise sus. I looked at a few pieces and they all seem unique to this seller!

The return shipping address appears to be a solo art gallery, which is a little odd, but not a red flag by itself.

Best answer: I've ordered from them. They're legit and allow returns as long as it's within a certain time frame.

I literally Google (name of business) plus "scam" if I suspect it might be hinky.

For the future - always use a credit card on sites that you're not 100% sure about. Not debit cards, and for sure not PayPal or other alternative payment sources. That way you can work through your credit card company if something goes wrong. They can be much more responsive and can be 'on your side' rather than some of the other payment methods if there's a dispute.
