Webcomic about narrative-formation with respect to war?

I remember reading a poignant web comic a few years ago — possibly related to Sept. 11 and/or the Iraq War, but also possibly going back in history — about how we spin chaotic and incomprehensible events into narratives over time. Anyone happen to know what I'm referring to based on this brief description? Thanks!
Response by poster: I don't think it was either of those. It was hosted on a (pretty long) webpage, and wasn't book length.

Best answer: Ah, I think it was this one by Mike Dawson: https://thenib.com/greatest-generation-interesting-times/
"The war was something made sense of after the fact."
I might have been conflating some bits with another one of his comic essays: https://thenib.com/the-good-war/
Or possibly this one by Nate Powell: https://popula.com/2019/02/24/about-face/

Maybe something from Nate Powell? Any Empire is about militarism in the American national narrative, though not explicitly about 9/11.
