Is there a good app for keeping track of movies I want to watch? I use Goodreads for books and would like something similar for movies.

I think Letterboxd is the standard response here, although I just have a list in my notes app.

I think this is what Letterboxd is for.

On preview, Jinx!

Nthing Letterboxd. There's a feature on it called "Watchlist" which is EXACTLY THIS (here's my own watchlist), and you can sort it several ways (length, age, popularity, etc.).

Letterboxd has a few other bells and whistles, of course, but I mostly use it for that.

I use Trakt. Also works for tv shows. Various apps interface with it so you don't have to go to the website unless you want to.

JustWatch does this and tells you where movies are streaming, and IMDB lets you keep a Watchlist.

Seconding Trakt - and I wouldn't be able to manage my TV watching without it!

I use Letterboxd Pro ($19/year) with JustWatch Pro ($2.49/month) linked it to it. This lets me surf the activity of friends/people I like on, read their reviews, and see their lists on Letterboxd, while also having the JustWatch info about where to see things autopopulate. It's the best of both worlds.

I'm using IMDB's lists for this. They offer a Watchlist which makes the adding/removing of movies a 1-click thing, but I have my own lists set up (eg. "to watch", "seen", "for kids to watch"...) so it's 2 clicks.

I use ReelGood, which also lets me track tv shows and shows me where things are streaming. It also lets me start playing things on my roku from within the app if I also have the streaming app on my phone (I.e. a movie is on Hulu & I have the Hulu app on my phone & installed on my Roku.)

nthing Letterboxd. It's one of the few apps I open daily, and amongst those, it's probably the healthiest habit. It's just such a well-designed app, extremely useful, and the community content (reviews and lists) is fantastic. Absolutely worth paying for Pro – besides supporting an independent business, you get the benefit of personalised watchlist notifications powered by JustWatch.

I just use my notes app (Colornote) but based on the above might try out Letterboxd

I've more than once been misinformed by JustWatch. It tells me certain things weren't available in Canada when in fact they were. I gave up on the service because of that. I wouldn't rely on it if I were you.

Despite the name, TV Time is a tracker for movies as well as TV shows.

Another vote for Reelgood

I use Sofa, super useful for tracking all sorts of media (and nice for consolidating it all into one place if you want to!)

I've been using a free Windows app called EMDB (Eric's Movie Database) to list everything I want to see and then rate everything I have watched. It looks up your title on the web and downloads the info and pictures of as many of the actors as you specify. It worked flawlessly for me in XP, however has been a bit twitchy in Win10.
