Pilates for beginners?

What are some good online and physical media resources for beginners*?

I am a bit bored of yoga and my spin bike. I want something a little more intense so maybe Pilates? Looking for online videos, DVDs I could probably reserve through my local library, and apps that don't cost the earth.

*I used to have a Pilates for Dummies DVD in my 20s but it's been gone for years.

I've been doing the Apple Fitness pilates workouts and like them quite a bit -- lots of different trainers with different vibes. I think it's something like $10/month so if that's in your budget, I'd check it out. I play mine from an AppleTV, but you can also run it from an iPhone or Mac. (no idea about other platform options) They also have HIIT and other much more active options, alongside the quieter/gentler stuff.

I used to enjoy the "Pop Pilates" videos from Blogilates on youtube.

After checking out YouTube I would check Goodwills for Pilates DVDs, which might be down to a few dollars each.

There are loads of choices at Trifecta Pilates, and I like their work. There are also some ancient videos here from my teacher, Stacy Sims, who - biased opinion - is the best. Her insights on alignment are invaluable.
