Choice ranker for families?

Is there something like a shared-ranking web app that a group like a family could use to collect everyone's rankings of different choices into an overall result? For example, drag and drop in the list mom and dad made, to help decide what we do on Saturday. The app would do the math behind the scenes to get the overall ranking result.

Maybe a google spreadsheet would be the easiest way to do this?

Best answer: I think the keyword you may be looking for is "ranked choice voting."

Best answer: You can make your own ranked choice voting in Google Forms by following the directions in this link. Possibly cumbersome but you can send it via email to recipients to collect responses and it's easily customizable.

Best answer: Please don't put your personal family information in The World's Worst Surveillance Company Google! Just as a matter of habit.

You can make a collaborative spreadsheet with EtherCalc without making an account and share the link among your family members.

CryptPad has a free tier. They have multiple office tools including a spreadsheet tool that might work for you.

SeaTable is also worth a look. They are open source and have a free tier, but I know less about their data practices.

Anyway I'm happy to help you fins more alternatives to Google if you need them. There are plenty of highly functional and ethically-run tools out there and there's no reason anymore to submit yourself to Google's prying!

Best answer: I am trying out "OpinionX" for a teaching context. Not linking because I'm cranky about being a free advertisement right now. But it seems to do what you want.
