Just heard this and cannot remember what it is. A ballet? Tchaikovsky (misspelled?)

Yes, it's The Moldau by Smetana.

Y'all beat me to it, the musical ID. But what is a Moldau? A mythical beast? No, music which "evokes the flow of the Vltava River —or, in German, the Moldau—from its source in the mountains of the Bohemian Forest, through the Czech countryside, to the city of Prague." (Britannica.com)

Best answer: Moldau is the German name for the Vltava River. The music itself is the second of six movements of Smetana's Czech national epic tone poem Ma Vlast, "My Fatherland."

Smetana's The Moldau. It's the story of a river.
