Is there any way to get something shipped to the US from the UK?

I want to buy something (a supplement) that's sold in the UK but not in the US. I emailed the company and they don't ship to the US. I don't know anyone who lives in the UK, so I assume I'm just out of luck. But is there anything I'm not thinking of?

Yes there is – if you Google parcel forwarding services you should be able to find lots of companies who will provide you with a UK address to get your purchase sent to, and then forward it on to your US address for a small fee.

Vegetology is an online UK supplement company that ships to the US. Maybe they have what you need?

You can also use jobs.metafilter.com to find people to do this for you.

I don’t know if they sell on Amazon, but years ago from the US I regularly shopped German Amazon to ship to people within Germany. Perhaps you can do the same on British Amazon?

I would hazard a guess that the big well-known companies might do this? I know that New Zealand Post (formerly state-owned, very reputable) has this exact service for mailing goods to NZ from the USA, and I've used it a lot.
