Picky Picky (towels)

What towel brand is absorbent, slightly scratchy, and cotton?
My old all-cotton towels from who knows where are an embarrassment. To keep them "scratchy" I air dry them and never use fabric softener. Requirements for replacements:
--Must be looped cotton, i.e. not flat Turkish towel type
--Must have medium to low pile, i.e. not plush and fluffy and not the excellent thick Restoration Hardware towels my husband has. Those do have the right "scratchy" quality I like but take forever to air dry.
I spotted some Nestwell towels at Bed, Bath, and Beyond recently that felt textured enough, but it's so hard to tell. Mefi led me to excellent Nestwell crispy percale sheets this year, which fit the bill. So I need a towel equivalent of those Nestwell percale sheets.

Ikea has assorted cotton towel options, most of them not fluffy, most looped cotton, different amounts of pile and some with pattern in the pile and some without. Dimforsen for example seem to fit your requirements

You probably already know this, but in my experience, any towel is scratchy if you don't tumble dry it and hang it instead.

Do you like the towels at mid-range hotels, where they've been washed a zillion times and are sort of thin and slightly rough, somehow both very absorbent and fast-drying? That's what I like. I have a couple of discontinued IKEA Fräjen towels that I cling to even though they're not in great shape anymore. I've considered buying generic cotton towels from a hotel supply website.

You might like these Brooklinen towels, which very thin and fast-drying. Air dried, they'd probably be scratchy.
