Phone jail reccos?

I'm considering getting a "phone jail" device to lock my phone into - something to prevent me using it for chosen durations. Any suggestions or advice?

If possible, I want to keep myself away from games and random scrolling, but I'd like to still be able to use the camera in case my child does something cute.
I have an iPhone 13. Would also be great to be able to charge it while it's in jail.
Thanks for any product suggestions or insights about these gizmos!

I use a gun safe in a sock drawer. It gives you at least two chances (drawer, safe) to think about what you're doing and choose to do something different. You can get a gun safe that uses a key and put the key somewhere else if you need a third step.

I use this one for my phone and love it. The dial timer and 5 second delay are really easy to use. Once it’s in and locked, that’s it. It’s the only thing that worked, finally, to break my phone-in-bed habit.

What about something like Freedom?

You can get a pocket camera for less than $100, and just turn your phone off for jail time.

Can you accept locking out all the functionality of other apps behind a password, and ONLY use the phone and camera?

Apple Screen Time is a built-in function for most modern iPhones. It lets you schedule yourself a timeout from the phone and limit your app use, even comm limits.

The problem with Screen Time on iOS is that you basically need someone else to set and hold the passcode. There’s some tricks I’ve used (mostly from a kink community which has tried lots of ways to “lock my own stuff up”) but I would definitely recommend the Kitchen Safe.
