What is the best women's robe?

I am looking for the softest and coziest women's robe. Light but not sheer, warm but not wintery. I'm not looking for a bath robe (too plush, not lounge-y enough,) anything with waffle texture unless it's extraordinary, or a silk robe, of which I have many. I've gone down the internet rabbit hole looking for it myself and thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had any personal recommendations. What is the perfect daily wear robe?

I keep getting ads for these beautiful looking robes from Highway Robery but I cannot personally vouch for them, sorry, but they seem really comfy without the usual plushy or silky texture.

My better half is fond of this repurposed cotton sari robe. It’s light and comfy in a pleasant texture… how cozy without being wintry it is will depend on your local expression of winter, I think. Obviously it has a bit of a boho maximalist vibe.

I used to have a bamboo jersey robe that I loved, quite literally, to pieces. The weight and drape and softness of bamboo jersey is so lovely to me. I don't have a specific recommendation - mine is from the early days of bamboo fabrics even being broadly available, and I don't recall where I bought it. But there are lots of lush looking examples of there.

Cotton summer kimono are called yukata, which might be a useful search term for you.

My favourite summer robes have all been a light cotton fabric. Not jersey. Preferably mid-thigh to just above the knee, with a cut that wraps, but loosely enough that the breeze flows through the 3/4 sleeve to the bodice easily.

Maybe these double-gauze cotton robes?

I love a robe, have half a dozen or so in regular rotation. Flannel, plush, silk, cotton, jersey, I love them all, but if I had to pick just one to use for the rest of time, it would be a Turkish peshtemal cotton one. Light, absorbent, soft, not heavy but warm enough most of the year.

I'm a big fan of a linen robe. I have this one in color clay. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a tie string on the inside to keep the robe from gaping open as I go about my business. (And this particular seller wouldn't add one -- I asked.) Otherwise, it's fabulous and I wear the linen year round.

I have two of these. They are nice and light but have enough substance to do the job and hold their shape. They stay closed when tied and wash well.

Actually, they had a wide range of colours and sizes and it looks like they may no longer have that :(

Ok, hear me out: the UGG Blanche robe is your perfect robe.

It’s warm but not flannel, flattering but not skimpy/sexy, soft and cozy without being silky or sweatshirty. It is truly the best robe.

I recently splurged on the Cloud Cotton Robe from Parachute and I'm obsessed. It's cozy and warm but not too warm, works over pajamas or over nothing, stays snugly closed when tied, is super soft in a light, cozy (indeed cloud-like) way. The pockets are big enough to hold my phone but somehow don't look bulky. I feel pretty but not sexy in it. I bought the Cloud Comforter and the Cloud Robe at the same time, so it feels like I'm staying in bed a little bit when I get up and put it on.

I'm a huge fan of the Supima cotton robe from Lands End. A little thicker than typical cotton jersey and nice and soft in all seasons.
