Finding an agent in Japan for a translated English-to-Japanese book

I am the author of an English-language nonfiction book on a topic that has become a hot topic in Japan. I'm interested in finding an agent who could help me explore getting my book translated into Japanese and released there. How would I go about searching for an agent who does this (for a very unknown author)?

A Google search will turn up some agencies specializing in this. But they are a little too elite for an obscure writer like myself, as they represent John Grisham, etc. Also my old publisher went out of business and the rights to the title have reverted to me. Any tips much appreciated!

Do you have an agent in your home country? If so, I would start by asking them.

Is there any way to contact people who are involved with this interest area in Japan, and see if a member of that community could help you connect with a translator and publisher?
