I’m glad that you’re sorry now

I’m looking for songs sung from the perspective of someone who got dumped for someone else, and now the person who dumped them got dumped or hurt by the person they left them for.

I can think of “Who’s Sorry Now” by Connie Francis, “Goody Goody” by Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, and (sort of) “I Hope” by Gabby Barrett (though that’s more wishful than actual). What else is out there?

Not *exactly* what you’re looking for, but try ‘Hard Up Case’ from Walter Becker’s underappreciated “Eleven Tracks of Whack.” (Ex hasn’t been dumped, but is stuck with a loser.)

Not the exact scenario you’re looking for, but Let Her Go is about not appreciating someone until they’re gone.

The great Woman in Love by Tom Petty is sung from the perspective of the dumpee watching the woman he loves who just dumped him about to get dumped by the one she left him for.

I Wanna Be Around, popularized by Tony Bennett and many covers, is a variation -- in this song, the dumped person anticipates the person who dumped them getting dumped in turn.

I think both "Cry Me A River" songs are about this. The Julie London one and the Justin Timberlake one. (They are two different songs.)
