Blog written by a young guy whose wife died, where he travels?

CW: Suicide /// I'm trying to locate a blog or article written by a young husband. His bride dies suddenly and he decides to spend a year traveling before deciding whether or not to take his own life. I can't find it on the internet.

This is a hard one, I know. I feel like this was posted on Metafilter about a decade ago.

A young man is recently married and his new bride passes away suddenly. He decides to spend a year traveling the globe while contemplating suicide.
I think (but can't entirely remember) that at the end he does end up taking his own life.
For some reason I thought he was a church pastor or clergy or something but I could be misremembering.

Anybody have anything? Google is failing me miserably. I am fairly sure it was a travel blog, but it may have been a long form autobiography thing.
