Downloadable, music-heavy, talk-light, new-music podcast?

Without recommending a streaming service, where can i find a podcast that plays “new music”, that has minimal talk, that I can download.

The canonical service I used to use was KEXP’s weekly mix (that was itself a replacement for "music that matters" by KEXP). They would play 5-6 new tunes everywhere from world music, to folk, to new hip hop, to r&b, to experimental tunes and then describe what they’d played. The podcast was downloadable and thus I could listen on my phone w/o a data connection.

“I know they stopped making them in September of 2021. Sorry, I know it's a bummer.
There was declining listenership, plus it was very time consuming and costly to clear all the songs, especially since DJs can share out playlists on other streaming platforms for free. They are keeping the Runcast which came out of the Weekly Mix and exploring other Podcasts like the Fresh of The Spaceship series.:

Morning becomes eclectic was another, but it’s not downloadable, and too talky.

I have bought new albums on bandcamp because of KEXP's podcasts…..I want to discover new music the same way!

Related Ask that might provide some pointers. I personally enjoy BBC Introducing.

The dogpatch podcast is good if new music can mean "music that is new to me." It's record collectors creating an hour mix around a theme, with a little bit of talking between songs.

um, i do a weekly two hour show that covers a pretty wide mix of indie, experimental, jazz, r&b and hip-hop. per mefi policy, link is only in profile. there's a podcast feed in the sidebar.

Ben Wards show No Magic from BFF is a podcast (RSS feed) and is released most weeks. Ward is from the UK, and resides in San Fransisco so expect acts related to those locations to be prominently featured.

It's a two hour show and the format is generally more guitars/rock for the first half and beep bloops for the second. Most shows he has a featured album where he plays several tracks from a new release. Wet Leg and Kate Temptest were both recently featured, but sometimes he pulls out a classic like the Doves Lost Souls.

These all lean somewhere in the rock/experimental/electronic end of the spectrum:
Independent Music Podcast - all new stuff, with the main caveat that they avoid big labels.
Brainwashed Radio - does dip into older stuff sometimes, but it's predominently newish stuff.
In My Room - ditto, and it's a little talkier, but usually in one or two bursts in a 2 hour show
