Do you recommend Credo Mobile?

If you are or have been a Credo Mobile customer, do you give your experience with them thumbs up or thumbs down?

My phone is is on its last legs (iPhone 5S). I've been with Verizon, but I'm thinking of switching to Credo because Credo supports almost exclusively progressive causes and politicians. (According to Open Secrets, Verizon supports not only Biden but Trump, McConnell, etc). What's your experience of Credo? Do they have good customer service?

Best answer: We had a good experience with them. Then it went bad. And then they made it right. So 5 of my family went back to it. Decent folks.

Best answer: I've been pleased with Credo for the year and change I've been with them. THey're easy to deal with and support causes I care about.

Best answer: I have had Credo as long as I've had a cell phone--so since uh....'03?? They were working assets then.

I've been pretty happy with their customer service and non-shady tactics. I will say for awhile when they were running on --the sprint network?--I didn't feel like I had very good service, but I was able to switch to whichever network I have now, Verizon I think and it was much much better. So you might ask if you call to work with them which one you'd be on because they were running a couple for awhile.

Anyway, I've never switched and I've always felt they answered questions honestly. I assume the price is just a tad more, but they are easy to deal with so.

You can mefimail me if you want. I don't check it real often, but maybe, lol.

Best answer: I didn’t have a problem with Credo but I felt it a bit expensive compared to other companies for the services they offered. That being said I was also poorer and they were on the Sprint network at the time so I probably would go back now.

Best answer: We used them for a long time (also for long distance on our home phone line, when that was a thing) and only left because Mr. Blah's work provided a substantive discount on another carrier. That discount, in fact, just ended so I'm considering going back to Credo.

Best answer: Thumbs down to Credo. You'd be better off giving money directly to the progressive causes you support rather than relying on Credo's questionable judgment as to which groups your money goes and getting a slightly worse phone plan. It's been a while but I recall in the '00s that they were basically acting as a middleman for some union-busting telecom (Sprint if I remember right?), and that some of my funds would have been going to some online news outlets I didn't find as worthy or effective as other progressive causes.

Response by poster: Hey y'all, you've given me a lot to think about. I'd been hesitating mostly because I had read terrible reviews of Credo's customer service, but I also wondered if those reviews were from right-wing jerks who hadn't actually had personal experiences. From what you all say, it sounds like Credo's customer service is not an issue, so I'm grateful to have that question settled.

Much appreciation to you all for taking the time to reply. <3
