World of Warcraft Classic with Blinding Snowflakes

Hi AskMe, Recently, a collection of add-ons was translated from German, which aims to make a large part of World of Warcraft Classic playable by the totally blind. I'm exploring the possibilities and have some big picture questions…

The add-on has waypoints for navigating the world, finding quest objectives, NPCs, and so on, and works quite well in my experience so far.

I'm wondering what sorts of resources the hive mind might suggest to go well with this particular toolset? The add-on developers are certainly a resource, and working very hard to add features and fix occasional bugs, but WoW is a game with an astonishingly rich history and surely there must be other stuff out there to complement the things that Sku is able to do.

I'm aware of WowHead, which seems like a good resource for the game mechanics and features.

I guess one thing I'm trying to figure out is how I can get a sense for what the game actually looks like, so to speak. There's a lot of walking around but I have no idea what the environments I'm in are like; it's hard to tell whether the zones I'm in are pristine, or cluttered, or completely empty except for the creatures I'm killing :) Is there a place which describes WoW zones in text, as compared to mapping them out?

Any other resources people could recommend, be it add-ons or more information would be appreciated. I'm enjoying the chance to explore the game, as a night elf druid thus far, but also quite overwhelmed.

Thanks for any ideas :)

I have not played World of Warcraft, Classic or otherwise, in some time (got irritated with the current expansion), but maybe Wowpedia could help? It has a list of classic zones, which do have descriptions.

Teldrassil, for example, which you would've started in as a night elf druid:
The majority of Teldrassil's upper reaches is open forest and it resembles a mid-sized forested island. Darnassus takes up a large chunk on the western side of this island, while smaller cities dot the remaining forest. All forms of terrain exist here, including streams, full-sized lakes, and a few hills that might be considered mountains.

The entire zone of Teldrassil is in fact one huge tree, grown on an island off the coast of Kalimdor. As such, there is no ore to speak of here and the night elves are not known to be blacksmiths or miners. However, because the tree is so full of life, herbs are numerous here.
