Tool for room planning, with Ikea furniture

I feel like this must exist: Free software for planning a room. The room in question will be virtually ALL Ikea furniture, so something where I can create a room with all the room measurements and then add (and re-arrange) IKEA furniture and actually picture it (i.e. 3D pics of room). Where does this exist? Web/Windows.

Does the IKEA room planner not do what you need?

Response by poster: cgg: It would, but it looks like it doesn't include the beds. I'm doing a bedroom, with the Kura loft bed, which is kind of pretty unique item for planning purposes.

Sweet Home 3D might meet your criteria. I have it, but haven't actually done a room with it so I can't be of a lot of help. My brother used and made it look easy, which is why I have it. Not to mention it's a free download.

You can use Homestyler, but idk if it has a lot of IKEA furniture. I usually find something similar and just tweak the measurements to match the piece I'm considering. You can change colors to suit, too.

Best answer: My SO has used Google Sketch-up in the past and found it easy to download models of Ikea furniture. That said, I just asked him and Sketch up may no longer be available.

Sweethome3D is free, but an importable Kura bed is gonna cost ya.

I use FloorPlanner.com and just adjust the dimensions of furniture available if they don't have the IKEA model.

To the others: I think that the wished-for item would actually have downloadable pictures of the items, so you can actually SEE what the finished room would look like with the actual furniture as opposed to "something that's about the right size but looks different". Ikea's own Room Planners usually only feature certain specific items, and are more about "plan which bed/shelf set would work best for your room" as opposed to "plan everything".

To the OP: I was you back in August and I feel you. I couldn't find anything that had the actual pictures of the items, but I made do with DarlingBri's suggestion to adjust the dimensions of close-enough furniture that was available on the site I chose. The measurements are all on Ikea's site, fortunately.

Response by poster: Sketchup was probably mildly harder to learn than some of the other ones, but I was able to get all the furniture pieces and even put the right bed linens on the bed. And most importantly, once I was actually seeing it, it was immediately obvious what the best plan for the furniture was.
