Did Cary Grant ever hang out in Tehran?

My long-deceased father spent months on business in Tehran in the mid-1950s. Later he occasionally told a story about having a few drinks and pleasant conversation with a gent at the bar in his hotel. My dad, not being much of a film fan, didn't recognize him, but when they finally got to introductions, the guy said he was Cary Grant, in town to make a movie. I have searched in various places including IMDB, but can find no film he was ever in that was made in Iran. Can anyone shed light on whether Grant actually visited Tehran for any purpose?

Possibly Dream Wife? I can't find anything confirming outdoor shots in Iran, but apparently had some city scenes in a fictional Middle Eastern country.

Response by poster: To add one clarification: this would have been in the period 1956-1958. So Dream Wife is too early.

This is a stretch, but are you sure you and your father have the right city? In 1957, Grant was having an affair with Sophia Loren, and in 1957, she was on location in Tripoli, Libya.

Another stretch: A memoir by his daughter, Jennifer Grant, mentions a letter from "Tehran Hilton, Iran." However, she seems to be referring to a letter that Cary Grant received from his wife, Dyan Cannon, when she was shooting a film, and Cannon didn't meet Grant until the early 60s. So that would work only if he was visiting her and you have the year wrong.
