The smelllll of a Cabbage Patch Kid doll. I want it. How?
I had occasion to smell a new Cabbage Patch Kid doll today and it was like being time-warped back to first grade.
Vanilla, baby powder, honey, and vinyl.
Sweet and powdery and plasticky and omg the nice parts of my childhood.
I can’t get enough.
How do it get that smell it on me?
Has any company made a good dupe fragrance?

Not exactly, but you could play around with Demeter’s scent library. Perhaps a combination of Crayon, Play-doh, Graham Cracker, and Mr. Bubble.
Their scents are very hit or miss, but I have had fun ordering a bunch of samples in the past and mix and matching. My favorite is probably mushroom rye bread campfire. They have some other childhood scents, including some candy ones and pb&j, different soap smells and a very popular scent called kitten fur.

This this is the “cheap plastic” smell and like you, I enjoy it. I don’t know where you live but my local cheap plastic crap store is a reliable source for me.

I recently tried a sample of Tardes by Carner Barcelona and boy did it ever smell like plastic doll head to me. I've often read perfume reviews where people mention that smell but never smelled it myself...but hoo boy does Tardes ever smell like, well, plastic doll head!
It's pricey, so unless you love it I wouldn't buy a full bottle, but if you can get your hands on a tester, a sample, or a decant it's worth a sniff.

Response by poster: I like the smell of plastic and vinyl and 1980s erasers but I want to be clear that Cabbage Patch Kid scent is its own thing. It’s not even just a turbo version of regular doll head smell (also pleasant).
It’s not just a material that happens to offgas a lot- these dolls are definitely a deliberately scented product. The scent is much more vanilla than plastic.

Lush's Snow Cake soap smells like Cabbage Patch Doll hair to me.
