Will a 5% polyester blend meaningfully impact breathability of cotton?

Specifically, I'm looking at a quilt with a cotton velvet front, cotton percale back, and 95/5% cotton/"other" fill. I'm hoping for something that will provide less warmth than a generic poly comforter, with maximum breathability.

I think it depends on what the poly is actually made of. I think it could be anything. So I have one summer quilt like this that is fine. Another I’ve tried has been awful. I think you have to try it.

I HATE polyester in clothing or household goods, but have noticed that a lot of items seem to now have 5-10% of polyester in them as a blend with cotton. Even this cotton loving girl does not seem to notice the 5% of polyester in my clothes. I think you should be fine.
