[insert snowflake details here] i know about a couple groups on fb as well as the subreddit for gofundmes, but are there any other networks that i should be considering when sharing?

It really depends on what kind of GoFundMe it is! Where are the people who might be interested in funding it likely to be? Who are you trying to appeal to? A GoFundMe Reddit is likely to have a bunch of people with GFMs (people who are looking for financial help, not to put too fine a point on it), but a place dedicated to the diagnosis, problem or cause will have people who care about that thing — and fewer competing requests.

I use Twitter primarily if inconsistently as my main social media platform and I often see people "signal boosting" other people's gofundmes and similar. I'm not sure but I suspect that the person doing the signal boosting (who has more followers) is either a) already acquainted with the person being boosted or b) has a generous policy of retweeting as long as the other person seems legit (no anonymous egg accounts here!) and has some connection to their interests and/or social activism. I follow a lot of scholars and organizers, so I'll see things like "queer single parent raising funds to go to their dream university" etc.
