Renters insurance

Seeking insurance similar to Lemonade or Toggle (neither of which are available to my set up right now). Would love something similar, or just a good recommendation.

We use Assurant. We have never had to file a claim, so I am not sure if that recommendation helps. We have had it for two different residences now.

I got mine through GEICO because that’s where I had my car insurance, but the policy was actually with Assurant. Like crunchy potato, I never had to make a claim so I can’t attest to that part.

I use Amica based on recommendations from friends who did have to make claims, though I have never needed to myself.

I have fantastic renter's insurance from Liberty Mutual. If I drop my phone or laptop and they break, it's just a $50 deductible and they will cut a check for the market value of the item. The monthly cost is something like $12, I think I have a 1k deductible in case all of my possessions spontaneously burst into flame. I use it often, frankly, as I am a major klutz.

Do you have car insurance? I added my renters insurance on to my car insurance policy.

I use Amica for renter’s insurance and have made claims after a robbery. They paid promptly and I don’t remember any kind of hassle. The only other insurance I would recommend other than them would be USAA if you qualify in some capacity.

I've got mine through Progressive - $100 a year. Never had to file a claim. Honestly, any of the big name insurance companies will be fine, but will likely be the cheapest if connected to any other insurance you have, like auto.
