Where should I go to get some art framed nicely and affordably in Vancouver, Canada?

There's at least a couple of places on West 4th in Kits, a few blocks to either side of Maple. The on display pictures look nice, but I can't vouch for their affordability.

Do you need someone to do it or would you do it yourself? There are some really cheap framing supplies at the art store on Granville Island.

Michael's (various locations) has a 50% off custom framing special on right now.

I've also bought stuff from Fast Frames on Denman, but can't vouch for their framing. I check their specials page regularly.

Response by poster: I probably need someone to do it for me, although I'm not adverse to trying. Is it hard?

It depends. What are you framing? I framed my own wedding pictures using supplies from Michael's. I get compliments on them all the time. I had no prior knowledge of framing and I'm not a "crafty" person.

Michael's also has regular sales and they send out a flyer with a 40% off coupon.

Opus Framing, on Granville Island opposite the art school.

Opus Framing, on Granville Island opposite the art school.

I had some friends who worked there, many years ago. They did nice work.

Yes, Opus. That's what I meant.
