Can I touch the border wall somewhere in the Rio Grande Valley?

I'm visiting the Rio grande valley and would love to see/touch the border wall here. Is there some place I can touch the border wall? Thanks!

RGV is big and there actually isn't much border wall. You might try the UT Brownsville campus.

How close are you to Brownsville? There is a border crossing there to Matamoros, and if I'm looking at google maps correctly, you can go to the Dollar General on Sam Perl Blvd and it's right there behind the store.

I touched the border wall just outside Sabal Palm Sanctuary. I asked Border Patrol first. They followed me a short distance after I drove away.

Visit the sanctuary if you can. It's peaceful and beautiful.
