There appears to be several sites offering MV tours. Cliff Palace is closed. What is the best option?

Viator is not, to my knowledge, a tour operator but rather a booking service. I have almost always been able to find the actual operator of any tour listed on their site by Googling around, as I prefer to book directly.

Go thru Recreation.gov directly.

We did every single tour offered the year that we went (2017, they rotate what is offered every year to give the sites a chance to "rest") and each was amazing it its own way. I highly recommend taking a smaller tour (I think we did Mug House - limited to 10 people) if you can. The big, exciting sites are fun but they are crowded and you're just sort of marched through. It's so, so, so cool to get off the beaten path with a small group and a knowledgeable guide.

And: if you're larger, claustrophobic, or scared of heights...make sure you stop at the visitor center at the entrance to the park. They have a mock tunnel set up to to try out so you can see if you can comfortably fit through (so you don't find out at the site!) and they also have a mock ladder set up to see if you're comfortable with the kinds of ladders you'll be climbing up the cliffside.
