iPhone iOS 14.7 + wifi Issues

Quick question about iOS 14.7 and wifi connection issues...

I recently updated my iPhone to iOS 14.7 and all seems to be well. However, I visited my brothers house and was no longer connected to his wifi (I visit every other day and am always connected to wifi when I am there). I figured that the update must have messed up the wifi connection, so I tried to re-connect by adding in his wifi password (printed on the router). No dice. It says the password is incorrect.

At the same time, my brother’s iPad gets a prompt that we have never seen before – asking to share his wifi password with me, to which he agrees on screen - and it still says that the password is not correct. My brother knows the password...yet it won’t work on my iPhone anymore. I even brought over my iPad (which was always connected to his wifi) and it still works. Its just my iPhone… I 'forgot' the wifi connection and added the password to the connection many times, but it won't work.

Any quick solutions? I have Googled this and see a LOT of iOS 14 wifi connection issues and it seems like a Network reset on my iPhone is an option, but then I lose ALL of my wifi connections and BT connections (of which I have a lot), which seems excessive for one lost connection. Again, we are 100% that I am adding in the correct wifi password (and all other of my wifi connections and BT connections still work....)

Thoughts?? Suggestions??

Have you tried deleting the wifi entry completely (wifi > your brother’s wifi > tap the i > forget this network), then creating a new entry?

Have you tried forgetting the connection in your phone and then, with bluetooth on for both devices, bringing your ipad near your phone so the ipad can share the password with your phone? I don't know if it would work but it's something else to try.

The first things I'd do:
* switch wifi off and back on
* turn it off and on again

Do a full phone shutdown - not just a screen sleep, after "forgetting" the network.
