Is there an easy way to set up a Motorola SLVR or RAZR so that MMS/WAP functions properly in other countries (i.e., using a different SIM card)?

Currently, I have a Sony Ericsson, and Sony makes it really easy to set up MMS/WAP via this configurator page on their website.

I'm ready for a new phone though, which will probably be a Motorola because quad-band is important to me. Since Motorola has no such online configurator, is it going to be a pain every time I want to set up MMS/WAP with a new SIM card?

I just had to set this up on a European Motorola RAZR phone I imported to the US (Way cheaper than buying from Cingular mid-contract). While it wasn't difficult, I did have to search out the settings on a message board and it involved lots of using the keypad to type in addresses, usernames & passwords, etc. It worked fine on the first try, though YMMV.

Best answer: If you don't want to tap out long strings of numbers and passwords on your phone keypad, if you have a USB cable you can use P2KTools to quickly change, backup, and restore your MMS/WAP settings (they're called 'Web Session' in the software). Don't be scared by the Russian webpage; the software is in English. Download p2ktools2.rar from the site, extract, and run. You can also do some other fun things with your phone with the software; it's pretty technical.
