Cheap EMDR therapy in London, U.K?

Looking to start EMDR and am looking for budget options. I'm not sure how effective online EMDR would be. Does anyone have any recommendations either online (anywhere in u.k) or in person (London)?

Try openpath.org and search for an EMDR therapist.

It's been shown to be effective online.

I had treatment at the Maudsley, on the NHS. Could your current therapist refer you?

Yes - just to second that this is now available on the NHS.

Going via the NHS will mean it's free, but will probably also mean a longish wait for an appointment once you're referred, so if you're desperate, take a deep breath and tell yourself you are worth spending the money on for a good private therapist. But if you can wait, it should be there for you.

One thing I have heard from various people is that you might feel like you have to sort of fight for it - they'll try and fob you off with CBT because it's a lot cheaper for them to provide. If you need trauma therapy (and from your last question you do, and you deserve it), keep going, hold fast, keep asking til you're blue in the face, and don't shut up until they refer you!!
