Is there a good podcast about vocal interpretation?

I love the podcast "Strong Songs" and in his episode about "I Will Always Love You" he spends more time than usual talking about Whitney Houston's singing in her version of the song. I'm so interested in this topic and I would love to hear someone with expert knowledge break down performances by amazing vocalists. The "Aria Code" podcast does this a little bit, but I'd like WAY more detail, and not just opera. It doesn't HAVE to be a podcast but I'd prefer that to a video.

I'm especially interested in people like Patsy Cline, Ella Fitzgerald, Andy Bell, Annie Lennox, but I'm happy to hear about all types of voices and types of music.
Bonus points if they talk about the intentional use of breath sounds as part of the interpretation, I think it's so fascinating!

You may enjoy the YouTube channel I Love Aretha Franklin (which covers many more people than just her).

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but Hanif Abdurraqib's 68to05 project may be of interest: https://www.68to05.com/

Best answer: Oh man, if this exists, I’d actually consider listening to a podcast for once. :)

I know you said you’d prefer podcasts to videos, but since you didn’t say “no videos” I hope it’s okay to mention that there are a number of YouTube channels where vocal coaches critique or explain what a singer is doing with a given song - I’d search “vocal coach reacts” or something like that.

If you’re familiar with the Les Miserables musical, this video of Phillip Quast (arguably the GOAT Javert, depending on who you ask) walking word-by-word through how he built his interpretation of one of the solos is a favorite of mine: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6F5QgCXT4c

The YouTube fellow-person called WingsOfPegasus does this. Always a good watch.

Best answer: Seth Rudetsky has put some videos on YouTube where he takes a song from musical theatre and breaks it down, pointing out performance and composition choices. It's not singer focused, but if you like musical theatre you may find it interesting. On YouTube search for "Seth Rudetsky deconstructs". Here is his deconstruction of Buenos Aires from Evita.

Response by poster: Ooooh the Seth Rudetsky episode on Annie is AMAZING thank you!
Also the Philip Quast, and using your suggestion I found this vocal coach reacting to "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton which is pretty delightful.
