LaLa for books?

Has anyone had good experience with book swapping sites? I've got lots of books to trade, and rather than sell them, I'd like to trade them for other books I want.
Internet serach shows several, but it's difficult to tell what sort of experience people are having. If there's a great one, I'd love to hear about it!

Google's first page of results has sites for Canada and the UK as well...
I've never had a problem but only traded a few times.>

It's not the most practical way of swapping books - but BookCrossing is fun and alows you just to leave books in a random location (in a cafe, at the station) with a serial number on them. You post the location of the book to the website and people nearby can look for it, or else strangers can pick it up and go to the website. I've left a few books this way and it's good fun (although the novelty can wear off).
