How to clean Ikea Hesseng mattress

I have an Ikea Hesseng pocket sprung mattress (802.587.36). How do I remove the fabric cover to clean it? If the cover doesn't come off, how can I clean it?

The mattress is about 6 years old. It still feels firm and comfortable but the fabric is stained and could do with a good clean. It can't be flipped over, which doesn't help with keeping it fresh. Ikea said it would have a 25 year warranty when I bought it. They have since discontinued the product.

The fabric cover does have a zip all around the bottom, but when I take that off, the fabric cover is still attached to the top surface with sewn in "buttons" (like a Chesterfield sofa? I don't know the correct name).

1. Is it possible to remove the cover?

2. If not, what's the best way to clean it? It weighs 50kg, so it's really hard to move. Just like this? https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/how-to-clean-a-mattress

3. Do I just need to buy a new one? I really like this one and I want to buy a new one just like it, but Ikea no longer sell them. What's the most similar mattress out there? I like that it's natural fibres and breathable; I don't like synthetic "memory" foam.

TIA

These sites have the specs for that mattress, and they say to clean the fabric with upholstery shampoo.

If the cover doesn't come off, I would use something like this carpet and upholstery spot-cleaner all over the mattress, sponge it with water to get the rest of the cleaner out, let it dry completely, then cover it up with a mattress protector.

There are hand-help steam cleaners for upholstery and the like that might work for you.

After you do get it clean, though, you should invest in a good, removable mattress cover that can be tossed in the laundry every so often.
