Pinterest App Issue: Disabling Quick Saves

I use the Pinterest app every day. A recent update implemented a MADDENING feature change: I can no longer pin something directly to a specific board and must instead endure something called "quick saves." This is insufferable, and I cannot find a way to revert back to the normal pinning settings. Googling this issue isn't yielding solutions. Can you help? I've already emailed support.

Response by poster: Edited to add: quick saves essentially make you go through 4 additional steps to get a saved pin to where it actually needs to be.

Response by poster: Never mind - Pinterest support confirmed that my account is part of a UX test and that it isn't possible to go back to the prior pinning format.

Ugh.

Assuming you already told Support that the new UI is terrible, make sure to point it out in other places (Pintrest forums if that's a thing, social media). Hopefully other people will chime in with similar complaints.

Well, just FYI, it seems that Pinterest has decided to conduct UX A/B testing and doesn't particularly care about complaints from users because you're not a user you're a datum in a statistical analysis.

I suppose if that is what Pinterest is doing, then the best way you can respond is to avoid the site for the duration of the test, and then if the data folks see that people are spending less time because of their feature change they might put the original method back. Assuming we get rationality from the team that likes to pollute Google Image search results.

One of the possible fixes suggested in the Pinterest subReddit is to archive the Quick Saves board. Dunno if it works, though.

I think I know what you're talking about, but on mine, there's a little drop down where you can change the board. Is that visible for you? (I'm mostly working on a desktop rather than mobile, so it may be different. If you're on mobile, I wonder if a long-press on the name of the board will give you a drop-down.)

On their intro to the 'feature', see their sample 2nd from the left, top row. There's a drop-down next to "style".
