"And what about ____?!" A 90s kids comic that always ended with this?

I just had the vaguest sense memory of a comic of some kind that was regularly released in the 90s. It was kind of weird humor, and ended every time with a panel that utilized the classic soap opera trope of, "Will David find the perfect sandwich? Can Michelle tell the twins apart? And what about ____?" ____ being the name of a character we never met at any point in the comic. Google is turning up nothing. Does anyone remember this?

I'm remembering this as a comic in a magazine of some sort, not an actual comic book or newspaper strip. May or may not be the same thing you're thinking of.

Response by poster: Yes! That's what I'm remembering too, it was a recurring feature in a magazine (for kids?) in the 90s. Now I see that it pulled the joke from Electric Company, but still can't figure out what the magazine was.

There was an Electric Company Magazine that existed in the 1970s & '80s. "Love of Chair," whence we're thinking this refrain originated, was no longer a recurring skit on the show after ca. 1973, but maybe it lived on in the magazine.

Best answer: I think this has to be the recurring comic "Daze of Our Lives" in Consumer Reports' magazine for kids, Zillions. The scan in the article is unfortunately cut off just before the name, but the final line reads "Not to mention…" (now it's really going to bug me that I can't remember the name. Fred?).

I'm almost certainly remembering it from Zillions. Nice find!

Wow! It's been nearly 50 years but I believe I actually remember this bit from the show. And for what it's worth, following drdanger's link to the Love of Chair Wikipedia page gives this little tidbit:

"The Naomi mentioned in the segment refers to Naomi Foner, who was a producer on the show during the first two seasons and is the mother of actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and actor Jake Gyllenhaal."

Response by poster: I believe it was absolutely Daze of Our Lives and that the name was Fred!
