Puff Me Up

Our oven is broken and we have a lot of puff pastry taking up space in the freezer. Is there anything I can make with puff pastry on a stove?
Best answer: Got a grill? You can bake with them.
You can also use a dutch oven or similar covered pot on the stove, though you have to pay attention to keep the bottom from burning. You can do something like cook all the ingredients for a shepard's pie, fry one side of the puff pastry by itself, flip it, build the rest of the pie on top of the fried side, and then finish the whole thing.

Best answer: I sometimes use a cast iron and make like a pot pie type thing (cream of mushroom, peas, green beans, carrots, onion, venison/hamburger/chicken/tofu) and the puff pastry on top of it as a top crust bake the whole thing in the oven.

Best answer: I'm a moron....no oven, this might be possible on the stove top but I would put the crust on the bottom or make it like dumplings.

Best answer: I like to make biryani and use dough to wrap the edges of the pot so no steam escapes.

Best answer: I'll bet you could cook the puff pastry on a pre-heated burner, heavy pan, covered, then place it on a nice pan of chicken stew, turning it into a pot pie of sorts. The trick is to get enough heat to make it puff without burning it.
