Takeout Delivery in Vegas

Vegas Filter - Opinions on take out delivery services in Las Vegas.

A group of us in the Northeast need to help out a friend who lives in Vegas, and we thought a gift certificate to a restaurant delivery service would be an excellent choice - The two big ones I'm familiar with, Dining In and Takeout Taxi, aren't active in that area. I Googled and found On the Run and I was hoping anyone that's used them could comment on their experiences - Is it a worthwhile gift? Bonus points if any Vegas MeFites have any other leads or suggestions for something similar - Thanks!

I use On the Run here in San Diego for dinner now and then. Their service has been 100% bullet proof.

However....... They are expensive. My wife and I would pay $40-$50 for some Mexican food (tip included). Admittedly, we never tried to save money and maybe we go overboard on the appetizers, but I was always a bit shocked at the high overhead.

The food always came hot and fresh, and was delivered exactly when it was supposed to be. Being able to choose between several restaurants is very nice. Want a steak dinner delivered? No problem.

When I'm feeling lazy, and in the mood for indulging that vice, I don't hesitate to call them. Actually I've always used their web interface for orders, which works great.

Response by poster: Thanks y6y6y6 - My wife and I never seem to be able to get Dining In (the service we use most frequently) through the door for less than $40 (our weakness is Indian), so that's in line with what I expected - Glad to hear their service is good -
