Can you make these two Firefox add-ons play nice?

I need some guidance on how to make two Firefox add-ons work at the same time. Our troublemakers are Skip Redirect and ClearURLs.

I’m fanatical about my use of Skip Redirect, so if I have to pick one, it’s not even close, but when I read about ClearURLs the other day my eyeballs turned into hearts — I would absolutely looooove to get rid off all the url cruft when I copy+paste a link. However, once I installed it, Skip Redirect stopped working.

Not sure if it matters, but I use Skip so I can go to the “I’m feeling lucky” hit directly from the URL bar. I have some stuff on its whitelist, but am not sure what I would put there to fix this.

I’m fine with a solution that makes CleanURLs work only some of the time, though I can’t really picture how that would occur.

I’m using up-to-date Firefox 85.0.2 and a bunch of other add-ons, but nothing else interferes as far as I can tell.

I haven't used this, so I can't vouch for it, but Neat URL also strips tokens from URLs. Maybe it'll play nice?

Best answer: I don't think there is any way you will get those two extensions to happily co-exist, not for any technical reason but just because what they are doing is going to conflict. ClearURLs is stripping out parameters from URL's with the assumption they are all useless cruft. Skip Redirects is using those same parameters to pull out a destination URL. You can't have both!

I haven't used ClearURLs, but I did try a similar utility years ago, it caused so much broken functionality I had to ditch it. Many times those parameters are just cruft but sometimes they are needed, discovering this halfway through a shopping cart process is not fun.
