Tennis Racket?

Hi, I know next to nothing about tennis rackets but looking to get a couple of rackets. What is a good (couple of) starter racket(s) that hopefully comes with a bag to keep the rackets in. Amazon links work best. Thank you!

Best answer: Call or email Tennis Warehouse. Tell them who you are (age, size, experience), and they will be able to help you. To save a few minutes, measure your grip first. (I'm sure there are other good stores, but that's one I've had good experience with.)

Best answer: Why do you need a couple? Unless you are an expert, I'd just start with one basicracket. These are easy to hit with. Once you get better, you can upgrade to multiple rackets since you may be breaking strings.

The new trend is getting tennis backpacks rather than tennis bags. here's an option:

Best answer: Tennis Warehouse has a demo program that is fun. You pay shipping, they send you a few rackets to try, and you send them back after a certain amount of time. Then you get a discount on any of the rackets that you tried if you want to buy them.

They also have a tool to help you pick a racket, with options such as "beginner," which is probably the most helpful piece here.

If you just want a link to a racket, I don't see it on Amazon, but this is my racket. I am not _quite_ a beginner, but I'm a low-level enough player that I am not using a fancy racket (and would not benefit from one).

But, like, do you know you're going to play? I mean, you can always just pick up at random $20 racket on Amazon with more than 4 star reviews and see how it feels, and then upgrade to something like mine if you find you're playing enough that you care. It kind of depends on what kind of money you want to spend.

Also, it might be worth looking for a Try Tennis program near you. You'll get a free racket when you pay for the lessons! It's a crappy racket, but hey, it's something to start with.

For what it's worth, I have two of these racquets and really like them. No bag, though!
