Effective Altruism: Trans people in the UK

I'm trying to work out the most good I can do for trans people in the UK with my money. Ideally, I'm trying to get the biggest impact for my money so although I've given to crowdfunding legal fees agains the recent Bell v Tavistock case, I'm looking for something more directly useful to people.

There are various charities, but the biggest are focused on trans children/ have been critiqued by trans people I listen to/aren't run by trans people/have recently received a lot of money/ a combination of the above. Please don't suggest I give money to Mermaids, they do good work, but they fit into multiple of the above catagories.

My thought therefore is to give money to local trans support groups outside of London and Manchester. I can find these groups by googling them/ asking trans people in my life who work with these groups.

My question is, are there any other organisations not caught under the above categories that I can give money to in England or Wales?

I'll let a trans colleague of mine speak on this one.

TL;DR she has recommended Gendered Intelligence and Gender GP.

Response by poster: I didn't get may responses to this, so in the end I gave money to a variety of groups.

Here (link) is a twitter thread of currently active services that others might find useful.
