What song was I thinking of while run-drunk?

During my 2.75-hour run today, I apparently thought of a brilliant song to add to my run playlist, but the only note I made to remind myself is inscrutable in hindsight. Can you help me figure out what I meant?

I had a scrap of paper and pen handy (indoor run), so I wrote down three initials, which I remember thinking at the time were certain to serve as a sufficient reminder.

Fourteen-ish miles later (slow runner, yeah) I can’t remember anything (yup, ADHD), and my penmanship sucks so bad that I’m even uncertain on two of the three letters.

The first letter is either a B or an R, tossup.
The middle letter is definitely an M.
The third letter is either an R or a P, more likely R.

I believe I was abbreviating a song title, rather than the name of an artist. It’s likely the title would’ve made the artist’s identity unmistakable; a one-hit wonder isn’t out of the question, or the title might just have been nice and specific.

My playlist is eclectic enough to give anybody whiplash, but the biggest wedges of the pie chart are probably (1) Canadian adult alternative, (2) 1990s New Jack Swing, and (3) Other Stuff from the ‘80s-2000s that’s Somehow on the Oldies Station Now and I Feel Old About It.

Any idea what song I was thinking of? I’m perplexed.

I would use those letters to abbreviate Bohemian Rhapsody.

I'd sit down and listen to the playlist all the way through as if you were doing another run. It will come back to you.

I went through my music library & the only match I could find is Body Movin Remix (Which Remix?)

If nothing else you'll get a pretty sweet playlist out of this question anyway.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Batman Returns soundtrack, but I feel obligated to mention it.

Randomly googling and very much a stretch, I came up with Noel Gallagher’s Blue Moon Rising... BMR? Its from 2020, but Noel Gallagher and Oasis have a 90s connection...

And then of course Bad Moon Rising by CCR?

If your handwriting is really that bad, maybe it's "Ring My Bell"? Sure would fit nicely on an exercise playlist!

Not a song, the RuMouRs album (although the "run playlist" song "Tusk" is a later album)

Response by poster: Lovely answers all, and I woke up with PM Dawn in my head (PM Rawn? PM Pawn?) so I have a sense that something of theirs might have been it.

In any case, bleep is right, even still I’ve got some fab new suggestions to add to the playlist. (“Ring My Bell”, may it please Dr. Wu to know, was already there!)

Thanks so much!
