Looking for a dog-friendly, public beach for early morning walks and possible Gulf dips near Ft. Myers, FL. Any recommendations?

My husband, dog, and I have rented a house near my parents for six weeks this winter. They live a few miles from RSW airport in one of those gated golf communities. Usually I make several weekend trips there every winter to see them (they're 80) but this year that's not happening. So instead we are renting this house and will be there for an extended period. Because I'm usually there for such a short time and because my parents are no longer "beach people," we've never gone to a beach near Ft. Myers. But I'd like to be able to do that this trip. So does anyone have any recommendations for beaches near-ish Ft Myers that would be an easy drive, friendly for/to dogs, and not crammed with people? This would be for early morning visits only, not to hang out at all day. Grateful for any recommendations! Thank you!

I asked my cousin, who lives in nearby Pine Island, if there were any beaches that weren’t packed full of unmasked people. And his answer was “Not in Florida.” Sorry!
