How do I figure out who shipped me a package from Target?

We just received an anonymous package in the mail, and we know that it came from one of three family members. The problem is that we can't ask any of the family members who actually sent the gift (long story). I was hoping that there'd be a packing slip in the box, but it was just the item itself with no other paperwork. Is there any way to figure out who sent the package? The label has an order number on it from Target, but that's as much as I've got.

I received a gift from target this week and there was a second label on the box with a gift message.

Best answer: I work at a Target store and if you came to me at the service desk I'd be unable to answer that question but would refer you to target.com guest relations at 1-800-591-3869.

I would just call customer service and give the order number. This happened to me once with an amazon package; I had two guesses who might have sent it. The customer service rep said they couldn't give me the name of who placed the order. So I gave them my two guesses and they confirmed that it was the second name.

I would also recommend calling customer service. I have had some recent interactions with them over the phone and they've been pretty helpful. Haven't had to wait too long for a representative either.

Ditto messica, I had the same thing happen when my dad got an Amazon gift card that looked like it was from me that I didn't send. The rep couldn't tell me who sent it but asked very pointedly whether a family member might have purchased it on my behalf. I started guessing random relatives (waaay more than two guesses...) until the rep was flatout like, it's someone with the same last name as you. Fortunately that side of the family is pretty small, it turned out my aunt had sent it to me via my dad and had filled in the to/from fields wrong.
