My daughter was watching Zig & Sharko season 2 episode 16 when I heard a monkey sound effect that instantly reminded me of a game I used to play in the mid-late 2000s on the PC. Please help me find this game again!
My recollections of this game are hazy but from what I can recall..
- This game involved savanna/jungle type animals. You could play as, I think, monkeys, antelope, cheetahs, lions, elephants? Each different species had unique abilities or strengths and weaknesses.
- No humans were involved in this game/no hunting aspect.
- The battles were tactical in nature, but there wasn't an overworld a la the Heroes of Might and Magic series. I think you went linearly from one stage to the next.
That's about it. I remember it being immensely fun and I'd really like to find it again, but my Googling skills are not up to the task. PLEASE HELP SCRATCH THIS CEREBRAL ITCH!
To be clear, the Zig & Sharko monkey sound effect was EXACTLY the sound from the game I used to play. The show is on Netflix and the sound effect can be heard 3:59 into the episode. Maybe it will jog someone else's memory.
