Identify this JFK alternate history?

Seen once in a bookstore maybe five years ago.

It’s an alternate-history work, in the form of a history of the Kennedy presidency (and a few years beyond) in a timeline where JFK was not assassinated. If I remember correctly, one of the last events covered in the book is the presidential election of 1972, won by a candidate whose name meant nothing to me when I read it, although I assume whoever it was existed in real life. It is not Jeff Greenfield’s If Kennedy Lived or F.C. Schaeffer’s All the Way with JFK.

Is it Stephen King's 11/22/63? I haven't read it but it seems like it might fit the bill.

Response by poster: No, this was in the form of a work of nonfiction rather than a novel.

Response by poster: No, this was an entire book based on one divergence, not a collection of essays on different ones. I appreciate the responses, though!
