Vegan pie in Seattle, Thanksgiving 2020 edition

If I want it badly enough, can I manifest one (1) whole vegan (NON-PUMPKIN) pie, or even a cobbler or cheesecake, in time for Thanksgiving in Seattle without having to physically go check a bunch of stores?

I'm doing Zoom Thanksgiving involving porch food pickups/drop-offs with some vegan friends who already acquired a pumpkin pie. They hate when their friends go to great lengths to accommodate their veganism, so the key is that I need to make this look effortless, folks.

I've been googling, and this is the info I've gathered so far:
*Met Market allegedly has apple pie, although it's not showing up in their online ordering system.
*PCC and Whole Foods only have pumpkin pie.
*QFC and A La Mode don't have vegan pies.
*Pie Bar's online ordering system is down but they have cran ginger peach pie.
*Cafe Flora is sold out.
*Wayward just sells slices.
*Pure Pies has a bunch but they're all $75 and that's wayyyy more than I'm willing to spend on this.
*Flying Apron might have some? But their website is a whole situation so it's hard to tell. Plus, I'd rather not drive to West Seattle if I can help it.
*Plum Bistro allegedly has a Pie Pop Up on Tgiving and you can order pies online ahead of time, but no pies are to be found in their online ordering system.

Does it need to be pre-made? Because you could buy a vegan pie crust and either make filling or dump a can of it in there. Marie Callender frozen crusts are vegan; lots of others are too, including the generic brand refrigerated crusts at my local grocery store.

An apple or peach (or whatever) cobbler would be delicious with crisco instead of butter. Chop up a bunch of fruit and put it in a glass pan, cut a half cup of crisco into a cup of flour and a cup of sugar and dump it on top. Bake until it bubbles and the top looks right.

(When cooking by the seat of your pants, always use clear glass, so you can look at the bottom of it and see if stuff is done!)

For very low effort, the Daiya vegan cheesecakes are quite good and available in the freezer section of most standard grocery stores. You are supposed to thaw then for a few hours before serving.

Can you call these places? I have successfully done pandemic telephone ordering.

https://wvc.mobilebytes.com/menu Vegan cafe. Online ordering. Sells slices of pie. I suspect the max pie slices you can buy is probably the whole pie.

The huge apple pie at Costco is 'accidentally' vegan.

Marie Callender (frozen, in the grocery store) cherry pies are also accidentally vegan.

lots of supermarket pie brands are vegan.

Not pre-made, but low effort: to a vegan crust (btw, many graham cracker and chocolate cookie crusts are vegan, and some traditional pie crusts are vegan), add two containers of PCC vegan chocolate mousse mixed with one thawed container of So Delicious vegan whipped cream in a tub for a vegan chocolate mousse pie. Maybe throw some flakes of chocolate from a vegan chocolate bar onto the top of it.

On a different note, Trader Joe's has a new-this-season vegan gingerbread loaf in the bakery section. And they sell a can of coconut whipped cream, too.

You should be able to get one delivered from Good Eggs tomorrow or Wednesday.

Sorry, never mind, I thought that Good Eggs was in Seattle! Looks like it is not.

I’m not sure where in Seattle is convenient for you or if you’re willing to bake a pre-made frozen pie, but you can search Target’s grocery inventory, and they have Marie Callender’s Dutch Apple & Razzleberry pies in stock in some stores. Both vegan, and the berry is really good.

Trader Joe's also carrys a frozen vegan cheesecake that's great, maybe jazz it up with fruit? I've heard that gingerbread loaf is very good too.

The vegan cheesecake at Trader Joe's is very very good, but you should know that it comes in individual sized servings, two to a box.

Central Market frequently has vegan pies, cookies, muffins, etc.

A lot of fruit pies just happen to be vegan, but may not be marked as so. My favorite is Willamette Valley Pie Company. Their website indicates that some stores in Seattle stock them. Although neither advertised or certified as vegan, many of their fruit pies without "crunch" in the name are accidentally vegan (although they do contain palm oil, which some environmentally-minded vegans avoid) and are very tasty.

Also, I just searched a random Seattle Whole Foods for apple pie and marrionberry pie and the ingredients for both whole foods brand pies were suitably vegan for this vegan (no animal fat, organic sugar, but do have palm oil).

Sprouts recently moved into the area. The one on Aurora is showing a vegan apple pie on the website. If you search for "vegan pie" (no quotes) it should come up, or you could call and confirm they have one in stock. At $4.99, this would seem to be perfect for effortless.

I’ve had good vegan pie from the Phinney à la mode location several times. Usually, you can place an order online and specify “vegan” from the options in the order page. If I recall correctly, all of their fruit pies were available in a vegan version. It looks like their online ordering system is down at the moment, but maybe worth giving them a call to see what’s up?

Cooking a frozen pie like Marie Callendar means you buy it asap, as running out of stuff happens, put pie in oven while you shower, watch Macy's parade, etc., find a cardboard box and towel for transport.

Plum Bistro's online ordering system has been acting weird for me, too. It might be worth calling them. I haven't tried their pies but I love Plum generally.

As someone who took the time to research a possible lead and went through the effort of logging in for the first time in months for the sole purpose of offering a highly relevant answer that had not yet been provided, I would also appreciate learning what OP decided to do, and what flavor they got, or if they ultimately decided not to get a vegan pie this year.
