New full name for my new dog Max?

We just adopted Max and we’ve been calling him Maxcy but I just looked up Maxcy Gregg (I’m in S.C.) and that’s a big bummer. Can you suggest a new long name?

Maxim, Maximillian, Maxwell, etc. He’s four or five and I don’t want to take away his given name but I’d like a new internal name for him. Yes, this is silly, but I’d still appreciate any thoughts/input! Thanks in advance!

Why can't you call him the same thing and spell it Maxy?

Maximillian Bartholomew Jones.

There is something very... satisfying and appropriate about yelling long, multisyllabic names at dogs (and children) who are being less than willing to come in. Three names appears to be the sweet spot in my experience.

It's obvious to me that his full name is Maximillian "Maxim" de Winter, or if you prefer the movie version of Rebecca to the novel, George Fortescue Maximilian "Maxim" de Winter.

Here is a whole list of Maximillians. How about one of the Holy Roman Emperors (part of the Hasburg's dynasty)

Good dog!

My old cat Max was Maximum Cuteness for the first couple of years, but after he packed on the pounds it was changed to Maximum Density.

Maybe a stretch but the first thing that comes to mind is Maxwell Smart, or Agent 86

This is what I was going to suggest, but spelled "Maxie." There are a number of spellings that get you the same sorts of sounds, but don't have the baggage of your first version.

Prince Hal came right to mind when I saw his picture -- brave, humorous, regal. Or of course Maximilian Maximus.

I have to point out that the lyrics to that song are unpleasant.
