An Old, Weird Adventure Game Set in a Bar

I'm trying to remember an old point-and-click adventure game. It was set in a bar, but the bar was more of a hub than anything else. The bar had all sorts of weird patrons and several of them had extended quests you could do. One was a vampire and you had to help him in Transylvania. I think you had to win back his ex or something? And there was an adventure in space.

That's most of what I remember really. Here is everything else I remember, from most reliable to least: The bar had some alien and cryptid patrons, including one Bosk looking guy. When helping the adventurer, there was some kind of potion brewing game, and I think you had to help a werewolf as a side quest? I think you went to a distopia at some point. And at the end I think you had to convince a cosmic power not to destroy the universe?

I think the name of the game was [Someone's] [Something] Bar. Like Joes Transdimensional Bar?

Best answer: Callahan's Crosstime Saloon! Great game. It's based on a series of short stories that I'm not familiar with.

Best answer: I am a big fan of the book series so knew it at once, but got beat by zeusianfog. So yeah if you like the game and more importantly like puns (so many puns) the books are worth checking out. The first few books are more short story collections all set at said bar but with recurring characters and the like.

Flipping heck! This had completely disappeared from my memory and having looked up some screen grabs, I remember it so much! Was when I was supposed to be studying for my highers (Scottish final exams at school) Also, I feel like it was on about 100 discs? Thanks for the question and answer - off to see if it's playable anywhere now.

sedimentary_deer - you can find the software on a few different "abandonware" sites and play it using a emulator of some sort like Dosbox.
