How do I remind Reminders who I am?

My kid had my old iPhone for a while and their own login. Now things are messed up and the reminders app thinks I am my kid. As far as I can tell I’m signed in as myself everywhere. Has anyone run into this lately?

I have an apple iPhone 8 plus, and I think I’m still on iOS 13. But the reminders app is updated. We finally created a new phone for my kid, but there seems to be a lot of confusion with my old phone that still thinks I am the kid. It’s specifically only a problem with the Reminders app, everything else like iTunes iPhone iCloud email Apple store all seems to work. Thoughts?

Googling seems to be no help.

Reminders can be part of other services besides iCloud. Are there other configured calendar or multi-service accounts like Gmail on the phone?

Also, when changing iCloud accounts, one is given the opportunity to leave a copy of account data local to the device. Perhaps you are seeing Reminders that are left over from the old iCloud account?

The best advice I have is to do a complete reset of the device, which will wipe all service data.

Have you tried this?

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > My Info

My iPhone insisted I was my sister until I figured this out.

What frumiousb said, except the way to get there on current iOS is Settings > Contacts > My Info.

Response by poster: I’m hitting walls on that and iMessage texts are getting tangled. Will reboot all devices, backing up, upgrading, backing up, and logging all of us out of both this weekend.
