Another escaped song

I heard a song fragment on the radio today ... lyrics were something about going deep and drowning...

It was an R & B sound with a female vocalist -- kind of an Amy Winehouse sound? The radio was quite tinny and fleeting and I couldn't tell if it was a singer I already know.
The song fragment had a few repeating lines about going deep and then something about drowning, obviously metaphor for some kind of profound romantic destruction.
Nothing like the Adele song if anyone thinks of that.
I was riveted and would like to find it.

I'm not sure if this is it, but I think it's a lovely song anyway...

Bottom of the River by Delta Rae?

Or possibly something by Florence and the Machine? Here's a compendium of their lyrics referencing water.

Any chance it could be the Star Is Born song, Shallow? (“I’m off the deep end/watch as I dive in/I’ll never touch the ground—could sound like drown in a fleeting tinny radio context?)

Response by poster: Thanks everyone for these lovely songs! It's been great listening to many new artists here.
Now I know the singer I heard was Izo Fitzroy... but I still can't find the individual song...
