Looking for a visual reminder about self-compassion

Like so many people, I put a lot of pressure on myself and beat myself up for mistakes. I'm trying to remember things like: failure is human, no flower blooms in all seasons, nobody's perfect, etc. Also, I'm a very visual thinker. At the suggestion of my coach, I would love a piece of art to hang by my mirror to remind me to be kind to myself. It can have words or not. (I have a reminder on my fridge to breathe, it is this print and it's great.) Looking forward to any suggestions!

Are you a fan of The Good Place, by any chance? Because there's a lot of "Pobody's nerfect!" stuff out there which might inspire and amuse you.

Hi there - I am an artist who is inspired by water and nature - I would look at mandalas... which, for me, inspire and elevate... especially the idea that no matter the pattern... if you keep growing it, adding to it and circling back around... becomes a beautiful design.

Best answer: The most effective things for me have had personal significance. Mandalas never did much, but my David Bowie ring made me unstoppable! There’s no need to limit yourself to traditional inspirational imagery. Maybe a picture of a kind grandma or a Buddha with your face on it works better.

Is there text that speaks to you? “Be nice to my friend” has worked well for me.

And if you want a whole collage, so be it! Cover that wall.

Best answer: If you would be into something funny/self-deprecating, I like this and also the leading image on this page (scroll down to see the full image). They are from the blog unclipped adventure, although it looks as if the author has taken down the original blog, where she sold at least some of her comics as prints. Here's her new page and here's her reddit.
